Our Society's headquarters is located at 127-133 West Main Street in Port Jerivs, New York. Fort Decker, a stone house built in 1760, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is the Society's museum. The Robert Kleinstuber House, which is located behind it, is the center of the Society's day-to-day activities and is the location of the Society's storage facilities.
Minisink Valley Historical Society - to foster and promote public knowledge of and interest in local and national history and to collect and preserve records, relics, archaeological materials, papers incident to the genealogical, biographical, civil, political, military, transportation, religious and general history of western Orange County in NY and of the adjoining counties of Sussex in NJ, Pike in PA, and Sullivan in NY near Port Jervis, NY commonly known as the Minisink Region.
